If you guys know me well, you must know I am a sucker for cute packaging be it lipsticks or blush or perfume, if its cute, I have to have it! When I laid my eyes upon this blush, my heart skipped a beat and I knew that instant I need this in my life ASAP! Well lucky me, I got it as a gift from my brother who happens to be my biggest support in makeup hoarding :-D This is enough for the background story lets jump to the review and pictures 'cause I can't wait.

A cute powder blush that gives a cute & lovely doll like impression

My Experience :

Lately Korean cosmetics have taken the world by a storm because of their super cute packaging and diverse range of colors.Lovely Me:Ex is also a  Korean cosmetics brand that is known worldwide.  For Koreans this turns out to be a drug store brand that is affordable and widely available at The Face Shop counters all over Korea.
This blush comes in the cutest cardboard packaging with pretty colors. The lid is tug open type but it secures nicely. Once opened, there is this cute white puff with a matching ribbon on the top. Let's take a moment to gulp in the beauty of this baby shall we.

Now for the product its self,the blush I got is Coral cushion. It is a pastel blush which  is completely matte. Though I think I see a few shimmer particles in the pan but I guess its just because when applied on face it is completely matte. The product is a bit hard to pick up, I use my RT copy Angled Blush brush (Review Here) to apply this but it comes off chalky and needs layering to get some color to your cheeks. I haven't used the white powder puff provided with it just for the sake of not getting it dirty (its so pretty to look at & I can't imagine making it stained). One of the reasons that its hard to get color is that these cosmetics are made for Korean community, who naturally are fair and need minimal amount of makeup to show on them. For us Asians, our skin tones tend to be darker then them,so we need proper layering. But if you like subtle flush your cheeks, this is the thing for you. I personally like this blush because it gives proper control of how much you apply and can never go over board with this. Once applied, this gives a very fresh & healthy color to the cheeks that can be mistaken for natural color (tried & tested ;-))

• Packaging not travel friendly
• If you like prominent blush, this might not be for you
• Hard to pick up and needs layering to show up on face
• Tends to be chalky with fall out in pan 
• Completely matte & pastel colors are not your thing

February Favourites !!

After more than a year of blogging, I have finally realized that I need to do a monthly favorites post too! So here it is my first ever Favorites post featuring all my favorites of the past month. The list was quite long as I usually fall in love with most of my purchases but these few items have made it to the TOP 6 of the list (Some of these items have already been reviewed, you can check by clicking on the header.)Enough blabbering and lets jump to the products.

1.  Maybelline Colossal Kajal 12 hr Formula–Extra Black:

I.Cant.Live.Without.IT.PERIOD . You heard it right, that being said it’s my absolute favorite this month and has been for many before. True to its claims of being EXTRA BLACK and long lasting formula, it definitely takes up the top position in my list!

  

2.       Dove Straight &silky Conditioner :

I am that sort of person who can’t get oil out of her hair right like EVER. That takes a toll on my hair and makes it dry. After trying many, I have finally settled for Dove Straight & silky Conditioner because it makes my hair shiny and supple. Can’t stop myself from touching my hair again & again

3.       Essence Long lasting Lipstick –Coral Calling

I picked this up randomly during a trip to essence counter and left it in my drawer for a long time but when I finally gave it a go, it became a staple for me. The color is beautiful, keeps my lips hydrated and fades with an even tint to my lips. The long lasting part is a bit over rated though

4.       Color Studio Pro Blush-Pixie Pink

I actually wanted to have CSP blush in Audacious Orange .Since it was sold out almost everywhere; I gave a chance to this baby and fell in love instantly. The blush is butter smooth, applies evenly, minimal fall out, a massive pan and smooth application. Absolute favorite this month!

5.       St.Ives Apricot Scrub for Sensitive skin

Twice a month a gentle scrubbing with this and my skin is all fresh and smooth!! Being a sensitive (read: apprehensive) skin person, I never had the nerve to get a scrub or d regular exfoliation. After reading many reviews, I decided to try this out and it hasn’t failed me yet!

6.       Ponds white beauty BB+ Cream:

We all have that one product that we keep on buying again and again and again, and if we try to get anything else in place of that, we regret and go back to buying that thing again (hope this makes sense) .Well this is THE product I keep on buying again & again and even have 2 backups in my drawer in case they decide to take it off the shelf!! Being NOT a foundation person, Ponds BB+ Cream has been my life saver for day and night wear, gives that smooth radiant complexion that doesn’t look caked up at all be it winter or summers.

 These are my favorites for the month of February .What have you been loving ?

Beauty UK Post Pout (Corally Incorrect)- Review & Swatch

Lip crayons are all the rage and coral is the color of summer. So when I found this amazing ,pocket friendly lip crayon by Beauty UK ,I had to try it ! Trying it again and again , I am reviewing it today  ...did I find it worth recommending ? Lets check it out

 My Thoughts:

The tube comes completely sealed with so chances of accidental twisting up and damaging the tip during shipping  which is a total plus point. It is a super cute tube with a twist up crayon with silver base saying TWIST ME !, absolutely adorable . The tube is the same color as is the crayon so it makes it very much easy to find it in when you are in a hurry or when things are just crammed up in your hand bag. The lid is clear plastic showing the tip of the crayon that adds to its beauty. It has a mint fragrance added to it ( clearly mentioned on the tube) so it would be a turn down for those who do not like their makeup having flavors or fragrances but for me its quite refreshing so I won't complain about it .Now as it is actually a balm stain so it has a glossy finish which stays for a good 2-3 hours depending on how you carry it and then fades with an even staining of lips that stays about 5-6 hours on me with eating and drinking . It transfers very less so that is another plus point ! I haven't used Revlon balm stains so I can't compare in any way but in a half price tag of  them I think these work pretty decent. One should scrub their lips before using Posh pout ( or any other lip product) as it accentuates the dead epidermis on your lips (not always but sometimes)

I would give it a 4.5/5. This lip crayon is a must have this summer and has been my staple ever since I got it .Totally recommended !
