January favourites

And its already February 2016!! I mean where did the first month go??  Whoever said "Time Flies" should at least have mentioned it flies with the speed of light! I am already feeling nostalgic man.
Enough of the drama, and here is my first Favorites Post of 2016!  Yayyyy.  I have actually vowed to put up the favorites post regularly.  I so wanted to do a 2015 round up but being the lazy bum i am,  I just snuggled in the bed and read others posts about their last year hits and misses.
Here I present to you my January 2016 favorites :

1. Bbia Velvet finish Lipsticks :

I have been daring and putting up some pretty reds and bright pinks lately.  Out of all the formulas I have tried, the BBIA velvet finish lipstick has aced my list!  I am simply in awe with the shade 03 that is a bright pink with blue undertones  (review HERE)

2. Essence Cosmetics Cinderella Collection Highlighter -A Glass Slipper

This is love!!  I have had my eyes on this pretty little thing ever since it was launched in early 2015. Being the disney princess fanatic that I am, I couldnt resist buying this as soon as it was made availble in Pakistan. The formula is super smooth and pigmented and shows up beautifully on one swipe! 

3. Christine cosmetics Eye pencils :

A little pop of color never hurts. No m atter if its work or an event, I always try to add some color to my lower lash line. For that I have my trusted Christine cosmetics eye pencils. For the mere price tag of 50-60 PKR, these pencils are non irritating, pigment packed and long lasting!  A definite winner for me.

4.Nivea Hand Cream:

Though I love winters, the only thing that makes me like them a little less is the Parched look of my hands. During a grocery trip, I picked up this baby just randomly and I am hooked! I would not say its claim of whitening is all I am about, but it moisturizes deeply and has that mild berry scent that I absolutely love.  I got this for pkr 220 from Hyperstar, Lahore.

5. Victoria's Secret Body Lotion - Lost in Fantasy:

This lotion is the bomb!  Its ending and my heart is sinking!  Along with the deep mosturising  without that greasy feeling, I have been using this one throughout the year just because it smells absolutely divine!! I had added it to favorites till winter just because I wanted to try it in wi nters and I am happy to announce that it works!!

6. Hello kitty finger rings (assorted) :

I got these babies as a gift from my sister on my birthday and they know me well. I have always been a Hello Kitty fan plus a known crazy cat lady, so anything related to cats is loved by me. I got this set of 3 assorted finger rings and I love them!  The quality and finish is superb and the luster is mind blowing. These were bought from Hello Kitty Store in Deira Dubai City center.

I guess this just wraps up the favorites post for this month. Not that I am short of stuff for my favorites post, its just that most of them are still in testing phase and haven't made it to the top yet.  If you guys  have any post request, product recommendation or any other query, please leave in the comments box below, I will definitely get back to you.

September & October Favorites

Sorry for being mia for past 2 months for it has been crazy as hell in those months with everything just piling up and me being mostly unable to do any of it.  Plus the writers block made me go nuts! I kept  opening the blogger, stare it for an hour or, not even writing a word and then closing everything to go to sleep. Yup, that's what's been happening and finally its over (hopefully)  because I am writing like a hysteric here right now :-D

So the last post, that was in September was a favorites post and so is this one.  I have compiled a list of stuff I loved using these past 2 months and to be honest it isn't much long.  I was expecting it to be quite  a few products because there was no Shoppers block :-P. 

Enough with the ranting and here comes the list!  

1. Labello Soft Rose Lip Balm:

This little pinky was picked up with the grocery at the checkout counter without any thoughts because my lips were chipped like anything and I just needed something for them.  But this one is a keeper for sure!  Its kind of thick but its good because it stays on for a long long while and keeps my ever chipped lips hydrated.

2. Jordana 12 Hr Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil - Prolong Purple:

Last month I had this one in my mail to review and, why lie, I didn't use it much. But when I finally used it to line my lower lash line, which is my favorite thing to do,  this one lasted for 18 hours straight.  I  was like woaaahhhh you still there??  I love it  to bits.  I am determined to get the emerald green soon in this one! 

3.ELF Mist & Set Makeup Setting Spray :

Not that I have a set rules to do makeup or even setting it afterwards isn't a must pointer for me, but still I have this setting spray well placed on my dresser.  Reason: this baby is a keeper. Whenever I have used it, it has never failed me. Just one or two spritz and all your makeup is locked and has a perfectly soft finish!  Added to the list of favorites this months after using it for than a year!

4.  SHE Is from Istanbul Body Spray:

I have always been a fan of SHE  body sprays and an avid user. After trying a few from other brands, I came back  to these.  Recently they have introduced these new Travellers Editions in the previous SHE IS  line and I  must say what exotic fragrances these are! Not that I am much of a fragrance peculiar person but these just got me loving them!  If you like to keep trying, I would suggest you try this one this time.

5. Double Sided Pearl Studs:

There has been quite a rage of Dior pearl studs but I am usually late when it comes to following trends,  I am lazy no other reason.  I got these beautiful double pearl studs as a gift from a beautiful fellow blogger cum friend Huda and girl you got me hooked!  I have been wearing them everywhere everyday!! These are definitely my favorites and will stay on the list for a while to be honest.  Get a pair and trust me praises will be on your way!

Since I am a linner fanatic and love to line  my eyes with colored liners these two were like a must have for me , plus I had always wanted a smudge proof formula . So is this kajal an answer to all my liner prayers ? Let's have a look shall we :D

 My Experience:

I have given a major blooper in the beginning of the review by literally swooning over these kajals ( I am sorry for that ) but the point is I actually love these and use them on daily basis (yes the torquoise one too ! ). First of all comes the packaging . These kajals come in plastic covered simple cardboard sheets with all new claims of 12 HR SMUDGE PROOF FORMULA screaming out loud . The black one gets black highlights and torquoise one get torquoise (well isn't that obvious ) . You have to push the kajal in backward direction to get them out. The kajal pencils come in same ol' twist up plastic tubes, twist as much as you want the tip to be out for application ( I wouldn't advice some vigorous twisting out the nib ) . The new EXTRA BLACK one comes in black tube with a yellow cap and torquoise one comes in a yellow tube just like the old 6 Hr formula Black kajal. 

These kajals are super dooper soft, trust me I mean it !! They glide in effortlessly, don't tug on my eyelids and give a really smooth line in a single stroke as the color pay off is really good (Thumbs up Maybelline). The kajal sets off pretty quickly and gives a pretty matte finish,which the torquoise is a bit pearly .One thing I personally don't like about the twist up pencils is the inability to sharpen the tips once they get blunt so you can't get a fine line if you want to. 

Now, the best part STAYING POWER ...It really lives up to its claims of 12 HR SMUDGE PROOF FORMULA . I use this kajal daily and by the end of the day its still there with all its intensity ,not on my crease but on my lash line which makes me super happy . I tried it for 12 hrs straight, with no touch ups at all , a little nap for an hour and 2 times of washing my face with plain water and it was still there when I towel dried my face. Here I must say it was the extra black after all this but it was there and was BLACK. I majorly use the Torquoise one to line my lower lash line and its formula consistency and the staying power is no less the Extra Black Formula.

Another good great news is ,it doesn't irritate your eyes ( beauties with sensitive eyes ,can you hear me ?? ) I usually don't use it in the water line but on my lower lash line and I have a bad habit of forgetting that I have something on my eyes but it doesn't make me look like a bad casing of beating with a panda eye :D it stays just there unwilling to budge just gets a little less intense. For water line , the color pay off is a bit MEH. No intense color there and for watery eyes like mine its gone within what like 2 hours ? So a big no for water line and I say just get it for your upper lash line.

Thumbs Up for:

• Smooth creamy formula
• Doesn't smudge or budge
• Doesn't need layering, single stroke gives intense color
• Doesn't transfer to Crease ( I have oily lids)
• Stays put for more then 12 hours
• 2 colors to choose from
• Twist up packaging makes it safe to take in purse , no danger of cap falling off and creating a mess in your bag
• Easy availability
• Affordable

Thumbs Down for:

• Can't sharpen the tip once it gets blunt
• Poor staying power on water line
• Twisting up too much may result in breakage due to its very soft formula , so just twist it up a little.

Rating:

I give this little tube of wonders a 4/5, if only it had shown & stayed on water line as intense as it does on uper lash line it would have been a winner!

Davis Eye Jumbo pencil 09 - Review & swatch

Hola girls ! how are you all ? well I guess being in such a hectic routine lets me make appearance on weekends only, though I want to right more ! Any way straight to the post . Today I am reviewing Davis Eye jumbo pencil in shade 09. Lets begin !

The Product:

This comes as a sturdy double ended pencil with two different shades at both ends. The colors are glitttery and glide on easily . Two different colors in the same pencil that compliment each other & can be used to create a love eye look with just one pencil ! lets have a look at this lovely now :)

My Experience:

I got my eyes on this pencil for a long time in a local retail shop so as soon as I had to get something from there I grabbed it along. ( this just reduces the GUILT of breaking your vow of NO MORE COSMETICS :P) . It is a lovely dual ended pencil that offers quite a large range to select from . I personally like multi purpose pencils that either offer use as lip and eye pencil or offer two colors together. This is a  lovely dull gold and a lime green color. I got this because I was hooked to the green colour. The colour pay off is very good. I use it to highlight my lower lash line and it give a subtle shine and shade that just makes your eyes stand out. Both colors have a bit of glitter in them that is a little chunky . Those with sensitive eyes might not like the sensation if it gets into eye. It stays all day long provided I don't rub or wash my eyes. Overall, I am in love with this pencil and yes I am going to buy some more too ! 

The swatches:

As you can see, these are exactly the same shades as shown on the pencil. These are smooth and glide on easily. I haven't tried yet but putting then on over eyeshadow primer , these can be used as eye shadows too. I just got this idea , will try it and let you guys know :)

You can see the glitter specks in the swatches. These are neither big chunky ones nor very fine. I personally have no problem with them at all :)

I Like :

• Two colours in one pencil makes it travel friendly 
• Beautiful shades
• Can be worn on lower lash line with no fading
• Can be used over whole lid as eye shadow
• Long lasting ( 5-6 hours)
• Easily available
• Affordable

I Don't Like:

• Glitter might irritate sensitive eyes
• Not water proof

My Rating:

I give a 3/5 for the glitter and not being water proof.
