March & April Favorites

Cant believe its already half way through April already !! Last month I was completely MIA from the blog ,all thanks to the crazy studies and exams , but still I had a few events to attend which you would have seen me cover over the Instagram .Speaking of which , I am totally not a fan of the new update of instagram . I mean whats up with the all white layout ? I miss that blue logo and all . Be honest do you guys like it ?

Okay, so I had to rant about it and since its now out ,Lets head over to the March & April Favorites .I missed the March post but got some amazing things to try for a little while longer so they made to the list . Here are my picks as monthly Favorites :

1.Du'vi Stockholm Green Tea Face wash :

I am all about organic skin care and I hardly incorporate anything new in my regimen . I was given the opportunity to try out Du'vi Skin care products ( Read Review HERE ) , I was skeptical at first but when I used the Green tea face wash , I was literally blown by its performance. From that amazing Green Tea fragrance to mild formula , its amazing for this summer if you have an oily combination skin that is sensitive too. Its a favorite for me and totally recommended,

2. Flormar Mattifying Top Coat:

I am all about Matte, be it lips or foundation or nails . Its been long that I was in search of a pocket friendly Mattifying Top Coat ,since I rarely wear Nail paints ,splurging on a top coat wasn't a good idea. On my recent trip to grocery shop , I spotted this Mattifying Top Coat by Flormar and grab it instantly. With a price tag of PKR 280 , It does a pretty decent job and I am totally hooked to the satin finish it gives to my nails . If you find it , I suggest you grab it  and thank me later ;)

3.L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara:

I got this a while back and never liked it because I am not a mascara person . Some of my friends who have seen me put me mascara know that I always end up like I have been punched in the face . to cut it short , I have recently started taking mascara seriously and now I am pretty good at it . Of all the mascaras I have tried , This Volumising mascara by L'Oreal has stolen my heart to the extent that I wear it at home without any reason just because I love how long and thick it makes my lashes look . It holds up the curl beautifully and doesn't make my lashes feel heavy or sticky or hard. I got the water proof version of it ,so if you are into water proof mascaras , try this one for sure !

4. Beauty UK Shy Cheeks Cream Blush Stick -Vanilla Ice:

One cannot have enough Highlighters ! yes count me in the list . I have this one for a while but didn't use it because I wasn't sure if it was going to show up on my skin because its too light or stay for enough time because its cream and we have summer here . BUT - when I used it ,I am hooked . If you are into that glowy skin trend or strobing , this little chubby thing is for you ! It gives the most subtle glow that makes your skin look so healthy and lit from within. I use it over my foundation even in the day time because its not something over the top and make you look like a grease ball. I am definitely getting a back up of this one and you should get one too !!

5.W7 Candy Blush -Orion:

W7 is kind of an underrated brand in Pakistan and not much talked about. I got this blush on the recommendation of a friend and glad I did . I will be reviewing this little pot of wonder soon in detail in upcoming days but read my words THIS.IS.THE.BOMB . Yes ! you heard it . This blush is so so soooo pigment packed that I was amazed . I wasn't expecting much out of it but it totally caught me off guard. I always complain that no blusher shows on my skin and I need to layer up but not with this one . I have to be very very careful while using it because a slight dip in the product picks up so much that it needs a very light hand or else you may end up in being a clown face. If you want a matte blush that is pigment packed and has an amazing price tag of just PKR 650 , must get this .

6. J'adore By Dior Eau De Perfume:

Recently I have been obsessed with perfumes and have been hoarding them. J'adore by Dior has been raved among many and I can't say any of them was wrong . It has a mild floral fragrance that is not overwhelming .It leaves a sweet tinge that lasts a very very long time. I am very particular about scents and this one is definitely going to be used a lot this season (after my BVL Omnia that is). If you are unsure , get a tester for it and then invest in the full size but at least try it for once ! 

And its a wrap ! This was all about the March and April Favorites .I have tried to chop down the list to my most favorites of these months that are amazing . Plus these all products are made for summer ! This summer try any of these and I am sure you won't regret getting them

February Favourites

Spring is in the air and festive are to begin!!  Well hello March already!! Who else thinks 2016 is a super sonic year??  With time flying by so fast,  I think in no time we'll be wishing each other a happy new year in no time!  

Enough said about the time.  Keeping up with the tradition of monthly favorites post (being the only post I do regularly), I am here with the February favorites :

1.Essence Cinderella Collection Blush- So This Is Love : 

Yes THIS is Love!!  This deep pink blush is my absolute favorite! With that soft blendable texture and great color pay off, this little beauty is a keeper for sure!

2. MM Makeup Lip gloss - Dahlia:

Its no hidden fact how much I love MM Makeup. This lip gloss is something unlike the formulas I had been using for a while now. This is light weight and doesn't make your lips sticky and tacky. Just for those days when you just want a little color to your lips then this one is for you

3. Jordana Cosmetics Lipstick- Barely Pink:

This one definitely a MLBB shade for me.  A perfect color to pair up with those smoked out intense eyes and link cheeks. A little added sparkle looks absolutely stunning!

4.VS Very Sexy Perfume:

I got this VS miniatures set last month as a birthday gift. Out of the 6 fragrances, this one turned out to be my most loved!  A gentle floral fragrance that lingers on for hours is definitely a favorite now for a very long time.

5.Makeup Revolution The One Blush Stick - Rush:

This presumed dupe for the infamous NARS Orgasm multiple was in my wish list for a long time. Dupe or no dupe this one is a stunning little thing on its own. That rose gold shimmer on peach base is absolutely gorgeous!  Even with no makeup on, I  use this to give that natural glow to my face.

6.Sigma Beauty Loose Shimmer - Mid Summer:

Sigma beauty loose shimmers are fine and super pigmented. No need to layer them up for sure!  I being the one who prefers the natural colors more, sigma loose shimmer in midsummer is my favorite!  You can see me wearing it HERE.

January favourites

And its already February 2016!! I mean where did the first month go??  Whoever said "Time Flies" should at least have mentioned it flies with the speed of light! I am already feeling nostalgic man.
Enough of the drama, and here is my first Favorites Post of 2016!  Yayyyy.  I have actually vowed to put up the favorites post regularly.  I so wanted to do a 2015 round up but being the lazy bum i am,  I just snuggled in the bed and read others posts about their last year hits and misses.
Here I present to you my January 2016 favorites :

1. Bbia Velvet finish Lipsticks :

I have been daring and putting up some pretty reds and bright pinks lately.  Out of all the formulas I have tried, the BBIA velvet finish lipstick has aced my list!  I am simply in awe with the shade 03 that is a bright pink with blue undertones  (review HERE)

2. Essence Cosmetics Cinderella Collection Highlighter -A Glass Slipper

This is love!!  I have had my eyes on this pretty little thing ever since it was launched in early 2015. Being the disney princess fanatic that I am, I couldnt resist buying this as soon as it was made availble in Pakistan. The formula is super smooth and pigmented and shows up beautifully on one swipe! 

3. Christine cosmetics Eye pencils :

A little pop of color never hurts. No m atter if its work or an event, I always try to add some color to my lower lash line. For that I have my trusted Christine cosmetics eye pencils. For the mere price tag of 50-60 PKR, these pencils are non irritating, pigment packed and long lasting!  A definite winner for me.

4.Nivea Hand Cream:

Though I love winters, the only thing that makes me like them a little less is the Parched look of my hands. During a grocery trip, I picked up this baby just randomly and I am hooked! I would not say its claim of whitening is all I am about, but it moisturizes deeply and has that mild berry scent that I absolutely love.  I got this for pkr 220 from Hyperstar, Lahore.

5. Victoria's Secret Body Lotion - Lost in Fantasy:

This lotion is the bomb!  Its ending and my heart is sinking!  Along with the deep mosturising  without that greasy feeling, I have been using this one throughout the year just because it smells absolutely divine!! I had added it to favorites till winter just because I wanted to try it in wi nters and I am happy to announce that it works!!

6. Hello kitty finger rings (assorted) :

I got these babies as a gift from my sister on my birthday and they know me well. I have always been a Hello Kitty fan plus a known crazy cat lady, so anything related to cats is loved by me. I got this set of 3 assorted finger rings and I love them!  The quality and finish is superb and the luster is mind blowing. These were bought from Hello Kitty Store in Deira Dubai City center.

I guess this just wraps up the favorites post for this month. NOVEMBER FAVORITES

Better late than never, whatcha girls say? Last time I was determined to post the November favorites by 30th!  Well its 14th today, my bad. But as you can see I have been going around a lot and people aren't the patient ones usually, hope you guys get my point.  There has to be a rant post coming up soon as there came times when i was seriously pissed at people's attitude. I mean seriously, they want an event report before the event itself happens, wierdos :-/

That being vented out, lets move to the little list of monthly favorites that I put up.  Usually people tell me why do I stick to just 5 or 6 products in a favorites post. Ummm its supposed to FAVORITES post, so basically I short list the things that worked best in the last month(s)  instead of putting up everything I used.  

So lets start shooting! 

1.CLEAN & CLEAR Essentials Moisturizer :

Whoever introduced me to this, I am forever indebted to you my angel!  I have pretty bad dry patched skin in winters that actually flakes off and stings when I put anything on it.  And major dilemma, if I moisturize it breaks out.  I have been using this moisturizer for a while now and trust me not even a single pimple showed its face.  The consistency is runny and not at all greasy.  It absorbs completely, leaving the skin soft and moisturized without greasiness.  Thumbs up to this baby! 

2.Maybelline Baby Lips Dr.Rescue - Coral Crave:

I have dry chapped lips throughout the year which make me look like a dehydration patient, so i need to keep lip balm at hand all the time.  Maybelline Baby Lips has been in my stash for a while but i lt was okay-ish, if you know what I mean. I saw this one on a facebook page and just added to my cart on a whim. But this one is super moisturizing, with added menthol that gives that tickling sensation that's absolutely soothing.  I apply it all day long and my lips have been behaving really well lately.  Highly recommended. 

3. The Balm Mary Lou Manizer :

This baby needs no introduction. This cult favorite made its way into my stash quite late but still i am glad I took a leap of faith and got it. Its heavily pigmented and a little goes long long loooong way, infact one dip goes for whole face!  If you are into the Strobing craze I say go for it!  Even if you like subtle highlighting, just keep a light hand and give it a go, just for once.  

4. L. A Girl Pro Conceal Concealer - Classic Ivory:

This one is undoubtedly a wonder in a tube!  Just press a little and dab around and voila!  All CONCEALED. I basically use this as my under eye brightener, rather than concealer but its subtle peach undertone hides my little bit of dark circles just perfectly while highlighting.  Just top off with some loose powder and enjoy a crease free under eye concealer! 

5. NYX Jumbo Pencil - Milk:

Just 3 words GO GET IT!  If you want your eye makeup to POP, i say don't even waste a nano second. This one makes the perfect eye base and helps showing true colors of your makeup. Plus its formula is just perfect that doesn't crease and keeps the makeup intact for longer periods.  Plus if you like white waterline, this has the soft tip that doesn't poke into the eye, plus the creamy formula makes its easy just to apply in one stroke. 

6. Masarrat Misbah Makeup Lip Varnish-Uptown Girl :

MM Makeup has been the talk of the town for a while now and there seems to be no stopping them for all the amazing stuff they brought to pakistani makeup industry.  The lip varnish made to my favorites list a bit late because of its really moisturizing formula. I have been into the matte lips bandwagon lately, lately but in winters, I like to switch between the formulas, and then lip varnish turns out to be my favorite.  With that yummy vanilla fragrance and rich moisturizing, I skip my lip balm before its use.  Even after wearing off, you can still feel that your lips have been left really moisturized. Get it for the winters at least!!

September & October Favorites

Sorry for being mia for past 2 months for it has been crazy as hell in those months with everything just piling up and me being mostly unable to do any of it.  Plus the writers block made me go nuts! I kept  opening the blogger, stare it for an hour or, not even writing a word and then closing everything to go to sleep. Yup, that's what's been happening and finally its over (hopefully)  because I am writing like a hysteric here right now :-D

So the last post, that was in September was a favorites post and so is this one.  I have compiled a list of stuff I loved using these past 2 months and to be honest it isn't much long.  I was expecting it to be quite  a few products because there was no Shoppers block :-P. 

Enough with the ranting and here comes the list!  

1. Labello Soft Rose Lip Balm:

This little pinky was picked up with the grocery at the checkout counter without any thoughts because my lips were chipped like anything and I just needed something for them.  But this one is a keeper for sure!  Its kind of thick but its good because it stays on for a long long while and keeps my ever chipped lips hydrated.

2. Jordana 12 Hr Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil - Prolong Purple:

Last month I had this one in my mail to review and, why lie, I didn't use it much. But when I finally used it to line my lower lash line, which is my favorite thing to do,  this one lasted for 18 hours straight.  I  was like woaaahhhh you still there??  I love it  to bits.  I am determined to get the emerald green soon in this one! 

3.ELF Mist & Set Makeup Setting Spray :

Not that I have a set rules to do makeup or even setting it afterwards isn't a must pointer for me, but still I have this setting spray well placed on my dresser.  Reason: this baby is a keeper. Whenever I have used it, it has never failed me. Just one or two spritz and all your makeup is locked and has a perfectly soft finish!  Added to the list of favorites this months after using it for than a year!

4.  SHE Is from Istanbul Body Spray:

I have always been a fan of SHE  body sprays and an avid user. After trying a few from other brands, I came back  to these.  Recently they have introduced these new Travellers Editions in the previous SHE IS  line and I  must say what exotic fragrances these are! Not that I am much of a fragrance peculiar person but these just got me loving them!  If you like to keep trying, I would suggest you try this one this time.

5. Double Sided Pearl Studs:

There has been quite a rage of Dior pearl studs but I am usually late when it comes to following trends,  I am lazy no other reason.  I got these beautiful double pearl studs as a gift from a beautiful fellow blogger cum friend Huda and girl you got me hooked!  I have been wearing them everywhere everyday!! These are definitely my favorites and will stay on the list for a while to be honest.  Get a pair and trust me praises will be on your way!

August Favourites

Yaaay its September!!  August gone, and so is the summer slowly going.  I am so happy its gonna be fall soon. This hot humid part of the year is not my thing to be honest,I am more of a winter person.  I even function better when its cold and quite.
With the passing summer, a very few things make to my favorites list every month because most of the stuff doesn't hold up good on the sweaty face of mine. But still a few things stayed at the top of this list this month too. And here you go

1.Color pop Lippistix - Frida

I got this lovely sleek thing about 2 months back and it has been my most used Lipstick since then. Its a true peach nude shade having brown undertonez that I love wearing to work. Oh and did I mention it smells like vanilla??  Yummm

2.Sigma Beauty Ethereal Radiance Brush Set.:

Late in thw August, I got a chance to try the Ethereal Radiance Brush set by sigma Beauty and it has left me spell bound.  Even though user a few times, it was an instant hit for me.  The super soft bristles and dense fibers just pack the pigments on lids just perfect!  The cream brush is amazing for its job.  Absolute love for this one!!

3. E.L.F Mineral infused primer - Clear :

Before having a primer, I never knew what was all the rage about the priming. But since it was too much to resist, I tried the ELF mineral infused primer, and haven't looked back since then.  I am on my 2nd bottle now and I don't think I am going to look any further.  Leaving the skin super soft,  pores minimized and fine lines filled up, this one is a keeper!

4. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - 001 Transparent :

This is a cult favorite and most recommended budget friendly compact powder. So with this summer heat, I needed something to hold up atleast for an hour or 2 decently to look abit presentable and not a sweat ball.  This one held up real good for about 3 hours in the scorching heat after  which it gave up. Well not to blame it the heat here is unforgiving. So it was better then many who gave up as soon as i stepped out of the room.

5.MM Makeup Silk foundation - Fair:

Have you read the review already?? Its "THE THING"  you need this summer.  Super high coverage and non-budging foundation ever. With this one you don't need a concealer if you have not so prominent dark circles and blemishes because it really does the job.  I have a few issues regarding accentuating dry patches and fast drying formula but still its the best buy in the market for long wearing foundation in this summer!

July favourites

So I missed the March and June favorites post, thanks to my health and yeah a partial thanks to the annoying Internet. I swear, I hate wired interenet now to the core of my heart seriously!  Well it's supposed to be a FAVORITES post, not a HATE post, so getting back to that. I have been using quite an assortment of products for past 3 months now, with a few hits and some misses. Most of hits have been the ones which withstood this scorching heat of Lahore! Since the list is quite long, I took only a few to be listed here and kept the rest to be posted later on.

1. L'oreal Nude Magic Liquid to Powder foundation:

I got this foundation totally on a whim because it was summer already and I wanted a really light foundation to wear on daily basis . Its been 3 months now and I am happy with my purchase . The formula is runny that sets to a really demi-matte powder finish which looks totally natural. Stays for about good 3-4 hours after which it gives in to sweat but still I am totally hooked to it !

2.Elf studio Mineral eye shadow primer :

This eye shadow primer has been compared with many high end brands repeatedly over the internet and to be honest it performs really well ! i have been using it for a couple of months and I am totally satisfied . It keeps my eye makeup in place for a good 5-6 hours without budging or creasing or even fading ,not to mention how bright it makes my shadows look ;) 

3. Butterfly cosmetics perfect makeup base :

This makeup base was a favorite of a fellow blogger Bia from The Beauty Finds. After bugging her around for a few days ,I decided to pick it up and I wasn't disappointed. I use it alone to mattify my face during day or even under a foundation for a smoother look . Not the best out there ,but for the price its decent enough to make it to my favorites list !

4. Bh cosmetics 10 piece Eco brush set : 

During my wedding haul , I finally realized that its time I invest in some decent makeup brushes and I picked up this brush set during a sale . Ever since then ,I haven't thought of getting more brushes because its such a complete set that caters to all my eye and face makeup needs !

5. Wet n' Wild Megalast Lipstick - Rose Bud:

When everyone starts raving about a product ,I can't control myself from buying it , not for the sake of product ,but for the sake of knowing what is all the hype about ! So, I got this as a part of the same theory and I am pretty much liking it . The finish lies somewhere between semi matte and satin and lasting time is as long as 6-7 hours straight ! The color is a beautiful rose that I love . Its been my go to lipstick ever since I got it .

April Favorites!!

Its been a while since I haven't blogged and it really feels like I have been missing something major in my life!  But getting back to the routine, I have some amazing posts for you guys all lined up! 

Today, as the tradition continues, I bring you the monthly favorites post. With no further delay lets jump to the products I have been loving lately particularly in the month of April!

1.Essence Get Big Lashes Volume Boost Mascara :

I got it as a gift and I am glad I got it!  I never gave much thought about  essence mascaras but after this I am definitely going to try more of them. The formula is not overly dry or wate

2.The Face shop Lovely me:ex Coral Cushion Blusher:

This little baby is in my stash for some time sitting there idle because its just too pretty to use. Finally I started using it and love the natural flush it gives to my cheeks.

3. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (fair 15) :

If you have been following me over Instagram and Facebook, you would know that in every Makeup look, I use this concealer to brighten up my under eye area. Since I don't have dark circles, so I don't know exactly about the coverage but for brightening its just perfect.

4. Christine Cosmetics Compact Powder :

This compact is just perfect. It really sets my concealer and doesn't let it crease.  In summers  when I get pretty much oily skin, this baby lets me go oil controlled for 3-4 hours after which the t zone gets a bit oily. For me, it definitely is a Local Gem.ry its just the right consistency and doesn't clump even on layering.

5.. Garnier Gentle Soothing Face wash :

This has been my staple since a very very long time (about 3-4 years to be honest).  My skin is like super super sensitive, you put a product on it, it doesn't like it and boom it explodes with anger into many pimples.  Yup that's me. So I am better off with plain water. But still I need a face wash to get that extra oil off. After trying many, finally my skin settled for Garnier Soothing Face Wash. Its  amazing doesn't dry my skin and leaves it supple.

March Favorites!!

Yaaayyy its that time of the month when I get to share with you the products I have been loving in the past month.  Its really hard to filter out the favourites since I tend to love every product for some reasons. To keep things in an order, I have picked up one product from each category. So let's get started!

1. Bourjious 123 perfect foundation :

I have been loving this foundation in the past month for it really does live it up to the claims of fighting redness and giving a bright complexion.

2. Makeup Revolution Radiance radiant lights highlighter palette :

Absolute love!!  If anyone asks me one product i would highly recommend, it would be Makeup Revolution Radiance palette for sure. 3 finely milled highlighters that need a single swipe to give amazing glow fit for your mood.

3. Christine cosmetics Sparkling Dust :

To be honest, I was not a fan of Glittery makeup until some of the MUA's started creating some exotic looks with glittery eyes. I knew then that I had to have loose glitters in my stash. To experiment I picked up these babies and now these have been my staple for glittery eyes. Highly recommended drugstore brand for loose glitters.

4. Clazona Beauty 24 hr long lasting lipgloss :

If you haven't read my review on this lip gloss, I urge you to read it (Review Here).  It dries matte and lasts super duper long. I personally love matte muted lips and this totally fulfills my requirements.

5. Sigma Beauty Eye shader brush E55:

This little baby is a life saver. If you have a eye shadow that you think is good for nothing, give this brush a chance and it will bring all those colors to life.

6. Freeman Chocolate Strawberry Clay Mask.:

A staple in my skin care regimen. As much as the smell is tempting and a treat to your senses, the results are equally amazing. Leaves my skin soft and supple and well hydrated. I have oily/combination skin in summers & dry in winters and it works equally well for me in both seasons.

February Favourites !!

After more than a year of blogging, I have finally realized that I need to do a monthly favorites post too! So here it is my first ever Favorites post featuring all my favorites of the past month. The list was quite long as I usually fall in love with most of my purchases but these few items have made it to the TOP 6 of the list (Some of these items have already been reviewed, you can check by clicking on the header.)Enough blabbering and lets jump to the products.

1.  Maybelline Colossal Kajal 12 hr Formula–Extra Black:

I.Cant.Live.Without.IT.PERIOD . You heard it right, that being said it’s my absolute favorite this month and has been for many before. True to its claims of being EXTRA BLACK and long lasting formula, it definitely takes up the top position in my list!

  

2.       Dove Straight &silky Conditioner :

I am that sort of person who can’t get oil out of her hair right like EVER. That takes a toll on my hair and makes it dry. After trying many, I have finally settled for Dove Straight & silky Conditioner because it makes my hair shiny and supple. Can’t stop myself from touching my hair again & again

3.       Essence Long lasting Lipstick –Coral Calling

I picked this up randomly during a trip to essence counter and left it in my drawer for a long time but when I finally gave it a go, it became a staple for me. The color is beautiful, keeps my lips hydrated and fades with an even tint to my lips. The long lasting part is a bit over rated though

4.       Color Studio Pro Blush-Pixie Pink

I actually wanted to have CSP blush in Audacious Orange .Since it was sold out almost everywhere; I gave a chance to this baby and fell in love instantly. The blush is butter smooth, applies evenly, minimal fall out, a massive pan and smooth application. Absolute favorite this month!

5.       St.Ives Apricot Scrub for Sensitive skin

Twice a month a gentle scrubbing with this and my skin is all fresh and smooth!! Being a sensitive (read: apprehensive) skin person, I never had the nerve to get a scrub or d regular exfoliation. After reading many reviews, I decided to try this out and it hasn’t failed me yet!

6.       Ponds white beauty BB+ Cream:

We all have that one product that we keep on buying again and again and again, and if we try to get anything else in place of that, we regret and go back to buying that thing again (hope this makes sense) .Well this is THE product I keep on buying again & again and even have 2 backups in my drawer in case they decide to take it off the shelf!! Being NOT a foundation person, Ponds BB+ Cream has been my life saver for day and night wear, gives that smooth radiant complexion that doesn’t look caked up at all be it winter or summers.
