February Favourites

Spring is in the air and festive are to begin!!  Well hello March already!! Who else thinks 2016 is a super sonic year??  With time flying by so fast,  I think in no time we'll be wishing each other a happy new year in no time!  

Enough said about the time.  Keeping up with the tradition of monthly favorites post (being the only post I do regularly), I am here with the February favorites :

1.Essence Cinderella Collection Blush- So This Is Love : 

Yes THIS is Love!!  This deep pink blush is my absolute favorite! With that soft blendable texture and great color pay off, this little beauty is a keeper for sure!

2. MM Makeup Lip gloss - Dahlia:

Its no hidden fact how much I love MM Makeup. This lip gloss is something unlike the formulas I had been using for a while now. This is light weight and doesn't make your lips sticky and tacky. Just for those days when you just want a little color to your lips then this one is for you

3. Jordana Cosmetics Lipstick- Barely Pink:

This one definitely a MLBB shade for me.  A perfect color to pair up with those smoked out intense eyes and link cheeks. A little added sparkle looks absolutely stunning!

4.VS Very Sexy Perfume:

I got this VS miniatures set last month as a birthday gift. Out of the 6 fragrances, this one turned out to be my most loved!  A gentle floral fragrance that lingers on for hours is definitely a favorite now for a very long time.

5.Makeup Revolution The One Blush Stick - Rush:

This presumed dupe for the infamous NARS Orgasm multiple was in my wish list for a long time. Dupe or no dupe this one is a stunning little thing on its own. That rose gold shimmer on peach base is absolutely gorgeous!  Even with no makeup on, I  use this to give that natural glow to my face.

6.Sigma Beauty Loose Shimmer - Mid Summer:

Sigma beauty loose shimmers are fine and super pigmented. No need to layer them up for sure!  I being the one who prefers the natural colors more, sigma loose shimmer in midsummer is my favorite!  You can see me wearing it HERE.

March Favorites!!

Yaaayyy its that time of the month when I get to share with you the products I have been loving in the past month.  Its really hard to filter out the favourites since I tend to love every product for some reasons. To keep things in an order, I have picked up one product from each category. So let's get started!

1. Bourjious 123 perfect foundation :

I have been loving this foundation in the past month for it really does live it up to the claims of fighting redness and giving a bright complexion.

2. Makeup Revolution Radiance radiant lights highlighter palette :

Absolute love!!  If anyone asks me one product i would highly recommend, it would be Makeup Revolution Radiance palette for sure. 3 finely milled highlighters that need a single swipe to give amazing glow fit for your mood.

3. Christine cosmetics Sparkling Dust :

To be honest, I was not a fan of Glittery makeup until some of the MUA's started creating some exotic looks with glittery eyes. I knew then that I had to have loose glitters in my stash. To experiment I picked up these babies and now these have been my staple for glittery eyes. Highly recommended drugstore brand for loose glitters.

4. Clazona Beauty 24 hr long lasting lipgloss :

If you haven't read my review on this lip gloss, I urge you to read it (Review Here).  It dries matte and lasts super duper long. I personally love matte muted lips and this totally fulfills my requirements.

5. Sigma Beauty Eye shader brush E55:

This little baby is a life saver. If you have a eye shadow that you think is good for nothing, give this brush a chance and it will bring all those colors to life.

6. Freeman Chocolate Strawberry Clay Mask.:

A staple in my skin care regimen. As much as the smell is tempting and a treat to your senses, the results are equally amazing. Leaves my skin soft and supple and well hydrated. I have oily/combination skin in summers & dry in winters and it works equally well for me in both seasons.

Long time, no see right? Well have been a hell lot a busy in the past month and now when all the wedding fiasco is over, I am back to blogging. Recently, Makeup revolution, a UK based brand, has taken the world by a boom. No matter which part of the world is people are going ga-ga over this brand. When it came to Pakistan, I was just sitting back and looking at everyone hauling MUR stuff and giving rave reviews. So when I Heart Makeup line was brought to Pakistan, I couldn't resist more and jumped at the opportunity of trying the Triple Baked Highlighter in "Goddess of Love". Lets see how I found it and is it worth  the hype?

My Experience :

I am a sucker for cute packaging, I confess whether its a blush or a lipstick or a bag or anything else you name it!  This highlighter comes in the most cute packaging ever.  It comes in a heart shaped cardboard box and the product itself is baked in a heart shape. Cute enough but not sturdy to carry it around fearlessly in your purse so its a 50/50 for me. There is a 10 gm of product when packed which is a lot of product ,that is going to last a very very long time even if you use it everyday, thanks to the minimal fall out. The product itself is beautiful dull golden to champagne color and needs multiple swirling if brush to get the product that would actually show up on your face. This is kind of good for me as I  cant go over the top in a single swish and become a disco ball, plus there is zero yes PRACTICALLY ZERO FALL OUT.
When applied to cheekbones it appears as a sheen and not glittery. I really like to keep a light hand on this as it turns out to be pretty frosty if overdone which doesn't appeal to me at all.  The solution to this is spritzing makeup setting spray or rose water at the end that settles down and blends everything giving you a nice and healthy glow. I like to top it over my peach blush as it totally compliments the warm colors. But still the frostiness  makes me reach for it the less than my Elf Blush in Gotta Glow( REVIEW HERE )
The staying power is super amazing, 2-3 hours without primer, Foundation and setting spray and up to 8 hours with all these. So overall this is pretty decent for its price. I wish they had made it a bit less champagne and more of a gold color to compliment the warm skin tones.

*Update* : MUR I Heart makeup Baked range has been extended, now there is another baked highlighter in GOLD GODDESS which is a gold variant of this highlighter. Looking at its swatches online, it seems to me it will be more complimenting to our warm desi skin tones then this one.

Thumbs up for :

• Cute packaging 
• Affordable 
• No fall out
• 10 gm of product in just  £ 4.99/850 PKR
• Can't go over the top with it due to hard to pick the product on brush/finger

Thumbs Down for:

• Packaging not sturdy enough 
• Hard to pick up product
• Frosty finish 
• May accentuate large pores

I would give it a 3.5/5 just because it turns out frosty sometimes and the color gives a bit of a pinkish hue to my liking.
